Maundy Thursday Service

The Maundy Thursday Service at St Anne’s will begin at 7:45 p.m.. The Service recalls the Last Supper and the events leading to Good Friday. It commemorates the institution of The Eucharist and The Watch recalls Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. This act of worship offers the opportunity for quietness and reflection and the Service begins with Bach’s Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor, where the haunting repeating theme evokes the inevitability of the Passion. This profound piece of music will be an integral component of the act of worship and you are invited to be in place by 7:45 p.m.
