Patronal Festival Lunch

Sunday 10 September, 12 noon, St Mary's Church

To celebrate the Patronal festival we will be serving a lunch at St Mary’s following refreshments after the service. As the food will be provided we will be asking for a minimum donation of £5 to cover costs. Any surplus monies raised will be donated to our Benefice charities. Sign-up sheets will be available in both churches. Please sign up so we know the numbers to cater for.

Thursday Thinkers

  • Thursday 19 October, 10–11:30 a.m. Exploring the Book of Ruth
  • Thursdays 23 & 30 November, 7 & 14 December, 10:00–11:30 a.m. ‘So what are you waiting for?’
    A 4-session course for Advent written by Revd Lucy Winkett.

Whether you’re always in a hurry or have too much time on your hands, this course is for you, as we explore a spiritual life that encourages us to be active in the chronological world, and rooted in Kairos, God’s time.

Gravetalk

Wednesday 22 November, 7:30–9:00 p.m., in COSTA Moseley

A café-style space to talk about death, dying and funerals. A chance to air your thoughts on a subject we don’t often talk about. For people of all faiths and doubts. We will use a resource from the Church of England offering 50 unique cards each with a thought-provoking question to get the conversation started.

Safeguarding Training

Growing Leaders

Wednesday 6 & Wednesday 13 September, 7:15 for 7:30 p.m., St Mary’s West Room

This course is run over ten months, usually with one session a month to be held on the first Wednesday evening of each month. Between sessions participants meet with a mentor to help reflect on the course and consider how to integrate the learning into daily life. Birmingham Diocesan Course for Developing Disciples: 3D

Wednesday afternoons at 2:00 p.m., St Anne’s Hall

3D is a Bible-based study course for established Christians who want to meet in a small group with a tutor to develop their understanding and discipleship. The course starts in September and runs weekly for 30 sessions. There are a variety of venues all over the Diocese, and daytime and evening groups, including a group at St Anne’s Hall on Wednesday afternoons.
