Thank you to everyone who gave so generously towards refreshments in March at St Mary's, and to all who made cakes for the cake sale. All monies raised will be sent to the Busoga Trust, one of our charities for 2017. We raised £105.08 from the sale of refreshments and £126.33 from the cake sale, making a total of £231.41.
Maundy Thursday Service
The Maundy Thursday Service at St Anne’s will begin at 7:45 p.m.. The Service recalls the Last Supper and the events leading to Good Friday. It commemorates the institution of The Eucharist and The Watch recalls Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. This act of worship offers the opportunity for quietness and reflection and the Service begins with Bach’s Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor, where the haunting repeating theme evokes the inevitability of the Passion. This profound piece of music will be an integral component of the act of worship and you are invited to be in place by 7:45 p.m.
