The next in this series of concerts will be given by Christopher Cipkin who will play a selection of pieces on the organ.

10:00 a.m. Refreshments @ St Mary’s

We are looking for new recruits to join our rota in serving refreshments. I hope you would all agree our splendid team provide a warm drink and wonderful hospitality after every 10:00 a.m. service. Numbers have dwindled recently and we are struggling to lay our refreshments each week. Could you help out? Remember the more volunteers, the easier the shared responsibility over several months. Calling to Serve?

Is God calling your child to serve? We are looking for new recruits, aged from 11 to 18 years of age, to assist clergy at the eucharist. This works on a rota basis and is completely flexible around other commitments. The duties include leading the processions with candles, laying the altar with bread and wine, and bringing our gifts to God. St Anne’s is holding an Art Exhibition in the church. If you wish to exhibit your work, please read the information leaflet available on the welcome desks, and speak to Stephanie or Sonia on 07913 107074.

St Anne's Patronal Picnic

Sunday 23 July, 12 noon

As part of St Anne's Patronal festival on Sunday 23 July we will be holding a Patronal Picnic in Reverend Hazel's garden. You will need to bring your own picnic and a rug or chairs to sit on. We will provide a glass of Pimms or a soft drink on arrival and scones, jam and cream and a cup of tea in the afternoon. There is no charge for this event which will take place following the 11:00 a.m. service. As there is no service at St Mary's on this day it would be good if we could see this as a Benefice event with members from both churches enjoying fellowship together. Let's hope the sun shines.

Brumdingers

‘Brumdingers’, our young trainee bellringers, are looking for some new recruits. The first four, all of whom are aged 9 to 11, have been ringing together for nearly six months, and have just been joined by another recruit, whom they introduced themselves. They could cope with three more to take the group up to eight. The Brumdingers have a lot of fun on Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. learning to ring the bells and also experimenting with the handbells. Bike racks at St Mary’s

The churchyard work continues, and new bike racks have now been installed in the area outside the main door. This will mean that no bikes are to be brought into the church. We are pleased to install these for current cyclists and also for those who may want to take back to the pedals again. There are locks for signing in and out behind the welcome desk.
