Benefice Christmas Fair – Thank you!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped in any way with a successful Christmas Fair on Saturday. Whether it was publicising the event, setting up, running or helping on a stall, singing or counting the money, it was a real team effort. There are a few books and jams left on display in church by the Welcome desk for sale. These will be on offer until Sunday 3 December, so if you would like anything please leave a reasonable donation in the bowls provided. With expenses taken out we raised £1,915.32 – a great total! This will be added to the £160 raised at the Benefice lunch on Sunday 5 November. A total of £2,075.32 will be sent to our Benefice charities. These are The Children's Society, Christian Aid, Médecins Sans Frontières and The Diocesan Malawi Link.

Thank you all, Angela Brown

Printed Sermons

Each week, a small number of printed copies of any sermons which have been posted on the Benefice website will now be made available in both churches.

Final Hymn – St Mary’s

Advent Sunday marks the beginning of the new liturgical year. At the 10am service at St Mary’s we are introducing a new way of receiving the collection. In the offertory hymn, we will be focussing on the presentation of the gifts of bread and wine. In the final hymn, we will be receiving the collection for the work of the church.
