Our theme during Lent this year, which begins on Wednesday 14 February, will be Healing, Wholeness and Wellbeing, with a range of activities, groups, and sermons on offer around that theme. Details will be available by the beginning of February, but you might like to note the following dates:

  • Saturday 3 March – a day looking at Growing a Healing Ministry in our Benefice
  • Saturday 17 March – Benefice Quiet Day on the theme of Wholeness and Healing

Moseley Community Development Trust Chief Officer vacancy

A great opportunity has opened up in Moseley, a unique part of Birmingham with a long history of community led action. Moseley Community Development Trust (CDT) seeks to improve the quality of life and the economic prospects of people who live and work in our area by working with local people. We are a well-established community enterprise at an exciting stage of our development with opportunities to grow the scope of our work and there are a number of projects that need to be delivered in the coming years.

St Anne's charity of the month – January

practical actionSt Anne's will be making special collections throughout January for Practical Action, an international development charity which uses sustainable technology to challenge poverty and improve the lives of people worldwide. There is a display at the back of the church about Practical Action's work and a plate for donations on the welcome desk. There will be a short drama in the sermon slot on Sunday 14 January to illustrate the work the charity does, and an auction of surplus Christmas gifts after the service on that day. Please give any items for auction to Elisabeth Leicester.

Prayer circle

Tuesday 9 January, 7:30pm, West Room, St Mary’s

The next meeting of the Prayer Circle will focus on ‘Stars of Hope for Refugees’. There will be activities. Please come and bring your relevant items for prayer stations.
