Parish Breakfast at St Mary's

After a break of a few months, our Parish Breakfast after the 8:00 a.m. service at St Mary's will recommence on Sunday 1 May, and will continue on the first Sunday of each month. We are grateful to Ann Andrew and Sheila Perks who have organised this for a number of years and have now stepped down, and thank you to Jean Lindley and Diane Hirst who will be taking on the organisation.

Praying for our school community

Join us in Moseley C of E School at 8:30 a.m. every Tuesday morning to pray for the whole school community. Prayers will be child-friendly and it is hoped that many children will be able to participate. Children, parents, governors, staff and parishioners are all welcome.

Leading Intercessions at St Mary’s

We are compiling the rota for leading prayers at the 10:00 a.m. service at St Mary’s for April/May/June. If you haven’t done this before but would like to lead prayers in church, please contact Hazel via the church office or Janet Thorne (tel. 4494927) so that you can be included on the rota. There will be a training session (open to anyone from St Mary’s and St Anne’s) on Saturday 23 April, beginning at 10:45 a.m. in St Mary’s Lady Chapel.

Exciting addition to the ministry team

We will all have benefited from the ministry of Conan Chitham-Mosley during his pre-ordination training. Bishop David has asked if he can place Conan with us for his curacy too – so we get to share with him as he continues on his journey. I am excited by the prospect of continuing to work with him. A major focus of his curacy will be on ministry in the workplace and I am grateful to Frank Berry for sharing the task of oversight with me. Please pray for Conan, Rachel and the family as Conan completes his final term of studies and prepares for his ordination on Sunday 3 July in the Cathedral. Pray for the existing ministry team as they adjust to accommodate Conan.

Duncan.

Remember

Clocks go forward next Saturday 26 March, 2016.
