Christian Aid Thanks

Thank you to everyone who supported the Christian Aid lunch on Sunday. Thanks to your generous donations we made £445.70 which will be sent to Christian Aid. All agreed the food was delicious. Thank you to Priya for supplying it. The Hospitality team.

An illustrated talk presented by the Reverend Andrew Ashdown who will explore the historical context and background to the conflict, and share the experiences, and the voices he has heard in his recent visits. There will be time for questions and discussion.

Prayer Circle

Thursday 2 June, 6:45 p.m., All Saints Church Hall, Kings Heath.

The Prayer Circle will be walking a Labyrinth. Ms Vivienne Trickett, the labyrinth facilitator, suggests that we wear warm clothes, comfortable shoes and have our hands free (i.e.; no luggage!). If it is wet, we will be using the canvas labyrinth in the hall and we will need to remove our shoes, so you may wish to bring socks. All are welcome.

Over the weekend of 10 – 12 June we join with churches around the country in celebrating the Queen’s 90th Birthday.

St Anne’s will host an art exhibition depicting parish life 1926 – 2016.

St Mary’s will host Moseley Churches Together flower festival. If you, or a group that you belong to, would like to exhibit art or contribute a floral display, please contact the church office.

Come and find out about patrolling Moseley with the police and members of other faiths in a community policing initiative, and then come for a summer evening stroll – to be finished by 8:00 p.m.

Wear Red for Pentecost

This Sunday, 15 May, we celebrate the Festival of Pentecost, the day when the Holy Spirit came to the first followers of Jesus in a new way, and was made manifest in a sound like a strong wind, and with something with the appearance of tongues of fire resting on their heads. Our youngest children will be making flame headbands and you are invited to come to church wearing something red, yellow or orange as we celebrate this festival in our worship.

There will be a Special Fundraising Lunch in aid of Christian Aid. Priya Bangladeshi restaurant will be supplying a Bangladeshi themed lunch, marking Christian Aid's close association this year with Bangladesh and its difficulties. St Mary’s Organ Renovation Appeal

David was a St Mary's chorister and is now an internationally acclaimed recital organist.
