PCC Vacancies

There are currently vacancies on both church PCCs. If you feel called to serve on St Mary’s or St Anne’s PCC please speak to Duncan or Hazel. The role descriptions can be viewed on the notice board behind the welcome desk at St Mary’s and the notice board in St Anne’s porch.

Charitable Giving at St Mary's

bt logoThe Hospitality Team have kindly offered to donate money from refreshments to St Mary's charities during March, June, October and December in 2017. This month donations will go to the Busoga Trust which provides sustainable access to safe water, improved sanitation and comprehensive hygiene and health education to the communities in rural Uganda.

Faith Watch

Friday 17 March 2017, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Our local Police have invited us to join them on a Faith Watch patrol around Moseley area due to recent burglaries in this area. PC Tom Byrne 22303 will meet you all outside Woodbridge Road Moseley police station with high-viz jackets for you to wear. Please let Brenda know if you would like to participate.

Count Your Blessings – Christian Aid

In the past, some people have participated in these individual programmes during Lent. Christian Aid is again producing these sheets. Both adult and children’s versions can be obtained via the internet at: www.christianaid.org.uk/resources/churches

Used Stamps

Sincere thanks to the many people who have given stamps. Some have already been forwarded to Birmingham City Mission, and the rest will be sent when they have been sorted.

Power for Good

A chance to invest in a local cooperative developing renewable energy by installing solar panels on roofs of places of worship. £4,500 currently needed to complete panels on Kings Heath Baptist church. Sleeping Bags Needed

‘SIFA Fireside’, the charity for homeless people, is appealing for sleeping bags. If you can help, please ring SIFA Fireside on 766 1700 to arrange a time for you to deliver the bag to: SIFA Fireside, 48-52 Alcock Street, Digbeth B9 4DY. A Message from Duncan

Whilst on a short break last week Katrina fell whilst ice-skating and broke her wrists. With both arms in plaster I have become her primary carer and as a result will be less available than usual. I am grateful to colleagues for covering some responsibilities. I will endeavour to be around as much as possible

Children’s Pottery Workshops

PotteryWorkshopsGive your kids a half term treat with a hands on pottery experience. They’ll be exploring coiled/decorated pots, embossed tiles and nature inspired sculpture using air dry clay. Their unique, handmade creations will be ready to take home on the day! Accompanying adults are welcome to work alongside children younger than fve years old.

Women’s World Day of Prayer

An annual joint service for women from the churches in Moseley and Balsall Heath. This year the Christian women of the Philippines have prepared a service entitled ‘Am I being unfair to you? All are welcome.
