Book of the term

falling upwardsFalling Upward, a spirituality for the two halves of life by Richard Rohr (available from Amazon).

In this book, Fr. Richard Rohr, founder of the Centre for Action and Contemplation, takes the reader on a journey of exploration of how the heartbreaks and disappointments of life can be stepping stones into the spiritual joys that the second half of life has in store for us. There will be an opportunity to discuss the book with others on the evening of Tuesday 25 July.

Thank you from Trish Everett

A huge thank you to everyone for the gifts and celebration after the service on 30th April. Special thanks to Angela for the lovely cake she made. It has been a privilege to serve as Churchwarden for the last six years and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I would like to thank everyone who has helped and supported me, I couldn't have done it without you.

Moseley Summer Ball

Saturday 1 July, 7pm til late, St Anne's Church, Moseley

Black Tie Dinner followed by 'After-Party'

This is in aid of all the great work that is done by St Anne's and a number of people in the local community for those most in need, especially the homeless. St Anne's manages a night shelter over the winter period which provides weekend food, warmth and cover for the homeless. It also holds a Monday lunch club and provides hospitality for all those alone at Christmas. ThIs work is not particularly well known or supported across the local community, and the event is intended to help raise its profile and hopefully provide some much needed financial support to boot.
