A new weekly bell ringing group for youngsters from the age of 10 is underway at St Mary’s each Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. and is being run by the diocesan St. Martin’s guild of bell ringers. Annual Benefice Quiz

The quiz previously arranged in September had to be cancelled due to insufficient numbers. The quiz has now been rearranged for Saturday 28 January. Teams of up to 6 people required. Come in a team or join one on the night. £5 per person, bring your own drinks. Samosas and cakes on sale. Raffle. Please book your place through the Benefice Office or sign the sign-up sheets in both churches on the Welcome desks.

Mission at St Anne's

hoveraidlogoSt Anne's will be making special collections during January for HoverAid, a charity which uses hovercraft to reach the unreachable and bring aid and development to remote communities in Madagascar, where hunger, malaria, HIV and lack of clean water affect the health of millions, There is a display about HoverAid on the noticeboard at the back of the church, and a plate for donations on the welcome desk. On Sunday 15 January, in the sermon slot, Andy Mayo will speak about the work of HoverAid

Making meaning through movies

Christmas Card Boards

For members of the congregation who wish to participate, there will be Christmas Card Boards set up in both churches for you to display one Christmas card to all church members. The idea is that money saved can then be donated to charity.
