Melting Pot Calendar

We are involved in the production of a calendar highlighting cuisines from the communities from Moseley along the Ladypool Road and into the city. I have received a request for anyone within the benefice to provide a really special recipe for Christmas cake or mince pies so that the December page can have a Christian focus. Access to St Mary's, Thursday 17 November 2016

On Thursday this week (17/11/16) the churchyard contractors will be carrying out work to the path by the Garden of Remembrance and unfortunately will be unable to maintain access through the lych gate. We are sorry for this inconvenience.

The main steps are open to access for Open Church which starts at 10:00 a.m., for Stay and Play at 10:00 a.m., for Sabeel Wave of Prayer at midday and for the lunchtime holy communion at 12:30 p.m. Access through the lych gate will be back to normal on Friday and for weekend services.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during the churchyard works.

Reducing our Carbon Footprint

An interfaith event on various aspects of this subject will be held in Interfaith Week from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday 20 November at the Central Mosque, 180 Belgrave Middleway B12 0XS. South Birmingham Women and Children’s Refuge

Amnesty Cards

On Sunday 20 November, at the back of both churches, there will be Christmas Cards for Amnesty International sponsored individuals. Please stay and sign some.

Benefice Lunch

Thank you to everyone who supported the Benefice lunch on Sunday. We raised £203 which will be sent to the Diocesan Malawi fund.

Fairtrade Stall at St Anne's – Sunday 13 November

I'm aiming to start holding a regular monthly Fairtrade stall at St Anne's, after the 11:00 a.m. service. The next stall will be on Sunday 13 November, when in addition to the usual range of groceries, I will also be selling Traidcraft Christmas cards. Do come and have a browse, and let me know if there is anything specific you would like me to stock.
