Paint the Church Green

paintchurchgreenDuring Advent and at the beginning of Epiphany the Thursday Thinkers Group followed a study course entitled Paint the Church Green by Ellen Teague exploring the relationship between faith and concern for the natural world. There were some wonderful discussions including issues of recycling. We may not always realise the worth of some items such as used postage stamps that can make a valuable contribution to charities. Keep your eye on the pew-sheet as all kinds of collections pop up during a year including used stamps.

Vera Harley

Vera's funeral will be held on Tuesday 21 February at 12 noon in St Anne's. Vera will be buried in a family grave in North Wales later that week.

Owen de Visser (whose photographs of Moseley Park you may have seen on the hoarding while work was in progress to renovate the building for Pizza Express) is planning an Open Studios event, starting in Moseley and Kings Heath and, all being well, spreading further afield in future years. The Moseley Society is keen to promote this initiative and has received the following message from him.

St Anne’s Keyholders

We are compiling a list and register of keyholders. If you are a keyholder, please could you take a form from the sacristy and leave it there when completed. This helps us to know who has keys for insurance purposes.

Many thanks, Mark Simons
