Choir Residential 2017, Portsmouth

Dear All,

This is the time of year when we need to take soundings about interest in next summer’s choral residential at Portsmouth Cathedral – by the seaside!

Many thanks indeed to Rob Brown who so imaginatively fulfilled the task of accommodation supremo for more years than I (or he, I suspect!) care to think of. We’re grateful to Rachel McLeod who is this year takes on the mantle, spearheading the accommodation booking.

In 2017 we will be staying at Rees Hall of Portsmouth University, very pleasantly located on the common at Southsea. It’s a lovely walk to the Cathedral along the seafront. Parking is available below the accommodation and, from past experience, the catering is first class. Rooms are single or double en suite. We need to get in quick to ensure optimum choices.

I’d be very grateful if you could please indicate your interest below, deleting / completing as appropriate, and e-mail Rachel ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ). Please click on the link and copy and paste the details below with your personal response. Please send your response as soon as possible and in any event before Remembrance Sunday 13 November 2016. That will enable us to make a reasonably reliable provisional booking with the Hall in good time. If we can make a booking early we will benefit from 2016 prices and avoid the increase that comes in January 2017.

Many thanks indeed,
Mick
