Choir Newsletter, 19 November 2016

Many thanks for all your hard work at Remembrance – what an excellent Fauré Requiem. Lovely to have had the strings and Darren Hogg accompanying. Gave a really special flavour. Lovely, too, to have had Edwin back to sing the Baritone solo. Thank you to the two Rachels for the Pie Jesu. The comments from congregation et al have been warm and the aid to worship has been achieved by all accounts.

Now it’s only a small matter of Advent and Christmas!!

Forthcoming events

Saturday 26 November, Christmas Fair

Joint Choirs are singing seasonal music for this as the November Coffee Concert BUT this year we will share the slot with the Moseley C of E School Choir:

  • St Mary’s Choirs: 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
  • Moseley C of E: 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon.

Please be in church for 10:45 a.m. so music can be distributed.

A Plea from Phil Simons

Could we all please assist him as in past years by bringing chocolate prizes for the Choirs’ Chocolate Tombola Stall. If we could bring our contributions to church either tomorrow or at practices during the week (or in extremis on Saturday morning), he’ll be able to organise it ready for the opening of the fair itself. If everyone brings a little Phil will have a lot! Thanks so much.

Summer Residential 2016
