Rebecca Kohler Baratto, Violin
Ji Zhang, Piano

We have the pleasure of welcoming violinist Rebecca Kohler Baratto and pianist Ji Zhang to St. Mary’s for the bi-monthly Saturday morning Coffee Concert. They will be performing one of the masterpieces of the chamber repertoire, Sonata No. 1 for violin and piano by the French composer Gabriel Fauré, 1845-1924. Also on the program are several charming and well-known short works by Claude Debussy, 1862-1918, including “Le Fille aux Cheveux de Lin”, “Claire de Lune” and “Arabesque”.

Everyone is heartily invited. Drink a refreshing cup of coffee at the church with “Coffee and Company” from 10.30 a.m. and enjoy an informal hour of music from 11 o'clock. If you’re visiting the Moseley Farmers’ Market, pop in for good music, good coffee, good fellowship.

Living a life of tension

Saturday 19 March 2016, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

During the day Revd. Duncan will be exploring some of the ideas developed by the renowned writer on spirituality, Henri Nouwen. He acknowledged that our lives are characterised by a number of tensions that seem to pull us in opposite directions – spiritual polarities. The framework and ideas Nouwen puts forward offer an accessible and helpful way to make greater sense of ourselves, the world and God.

If you would like to come please download and complete the form, and pass it to Elisabeth Leicester, Helen McNicoll or Liz Blakey by Monday 22 February at the latest. If you would like more information please contact Elisabeth, Helen or Liz via the Benefice Office: 0121 449 2243.
